Let your voice be heard in Washington, D.C.
The decision to breach - or not to breach - the Snake River dams is to
come from Congress. The Tri-City Herald has sent a copy of this special
section to each U.S. senator and representative.
Tips for contacting a member of Congress:
- Address letters and e-mail messages to "The Honorable _____."
- Be concise. Plan to keep your typewritten letter to one page.
- Be factual in your opposition to - or support of - an issue.
- If you're voicing opposition, outline the likely adverse effects and
suggest alternative solutions.
- Be polite. Avoid emotional arguments or unreasonable demands.
- Include your name and return address.
